Our COVID-19 Journey

My name is Dr Alan Frederick Bain and this is my journey.

Over the past two years, I and physicians around the world were suddenly stuck between a rock and a hard place. Essentially, COVID 19 was a new communicable illness that no one ever had seen before, causing horrendous deaths from adolescents to the elderly.

Frankly, we were all caught by surprise, but we knew we had to treat our patients as soon as possible to prevent them from going to the hospital. We already had medicines fully approved and safe to get people through their symptoms and complaints.

We physicians were very careful in adding on medications so that we could know specifically how each one helped the specific symptoms that were presented to us in our patients.

We’ve also had patients who were able to be treated at home with proper oxygen support and fluid intervention. Thankfully, these patients never had to go to the hospital or back to the hospital.

I was even asked to help three extremely sick patients who were on ventilators and who had no chance of living, to be administered Ivermectin. This drug was like the icing on the cake. Like any drug nothing is 100%. Medicine is very complex and the right treatment components need to be added at the right time.

We physicians need the independence to try to help our patients. Many drugs are daily utilized in an off-label fashion because we physicians have always searched to find the best possible safe answer to a person’s problem.

This drug was part of and a crucial member of that symphony of instruments to help save lives in the intensive Care unit setting. Without anticoagulation. medicines, steroids, and ventilators, these COVID 19 patients would not have survived. Another ingredient needed to be added. This ingredient again is called Ivermectin.

This off label drug had already been approved for other diseases. It did not treat Covid and does not. We physicians treat symptoms to help save lives.

Through sound research, it has clinically showed symptom reduction in all the phases of the Covid 19 disease process.

I am proud to say that the three patients that I worked for, who were on ventilators and near death’s doorstep are now home and happy with their families.
