MYALGIC ENCEPHALOMYELITIS / CHRONIC FATIGUE SYNDROME
Dr. Bain has been treating patients with ME/CFS (Myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome) for many years now. It is a complex, chronic, debilitating, multi-system neuroimmune disease that profoundly limits the health and productivity of patients and, like Long Covid, is often triggered by an infection.
Dr. Bain has experience in a wide range of treatments and is always staying up to date with the most current studies. He works with each patient to find individualized solutions to these very complex health problems.
ME/CFS symptoms, which can often be made worse by standing upright, include:
- Post-exertional malaise (PEM), the worsening of symptoms following even minor physical or mental exertion, with symptoms typically worsening 12 to 48 hours after activity and lasting for days or even weeks
- Persistent fatigue for six months or more
- Non-restorative sleep/sleep disturbance

HOW WE GOT HERE
My name is Dr. Alan Frederick Bain and this is my journey. Over the past three years, I and physicians around the world were suddenly stuck between a rock and a hard place. Essentially, COVID 19 was a new communicable illness like we haven't seen before. This virus caused horrendous deaths from the young, to the elderly.
THE ICING ON THE CAKE
IVERMECTIN
Dr. Bain helped extremely sick patients who were deathly ill, on ventilators to be administered Ivermectin. This drug was like the icing on the cake. Like any drug, nothing is 100%. Ivermectin is an off label drug that had already been approved for other diseases. It clinically showed symptom reduction in all the phases of the COVID-19 disease process.
